Problem Solved - Drive Components for Food Conveyor Belts

 Recently a national distributor contacted B&B Manufacturing for some engineering assistance with one of their strategic account customers. This global food processing customer was using traditional sheaves and bushings on their BBQ conveyor line at their plant in the US. The drive is located below the floor of the conveyor and was having problems with the sheaves, bushings, and belts failing prematurely due to the caustic “wash-downs” required by the FDA. B&B’s Engineering Team worked with this distributor to determine the input RPM and desired output RPM of this conveyor for the customer. Once this information was established, B&B then designed a complete stainless steel synchronous drive system complete with sprockets, bushings, and Powerhouse® MX belt. All of the components were manufactured and supplied from B&B’s 100K sq.ft. ISO 9001:2015 certified facility in La Porte, IN and delivered on time so the distributor’s global food processor could convert the drive within their scheduled maintenance plan and with minimal down time! The new stainless steel drive is up and running and has been consistently outperforming the previous traditional v-belt pulley system. PROBLEM SOLVED!
