Powerhouse® HTD® belts have the first generation of curvilinear tooth profiles. They are designed to be fully compatible with the older HTD® standard tooth profiles which includes B&B Manufacturing’s® Powerhouse® HTD® pulleys. Powerhouse® HTD® belts are offered in 3 mm, 5 mm, 8 mm, and 14 mm pitches.
Powerhouse® HTD® belts are most commonly offered in widths of 6 mm, 9 mm, 15 mm, and 25 mm although custom widths are available upon request. Powerhouse® HTD® belts are made from neoprene and are reinforced with fiberglass cords.
The Gates Corporation's® HTD® tooth curvilinear design tooth profile delivers greater load capacity than trapezoidal-toothed timing belts. Gates Corporation® offers the industry’s greatest range of standard belt lengths and widths.
The Gates Corporation's® HTD® timing belts were built to be industry workhorses. The fiberglass tensile cord provides high strength, excellent flexibility, and high resistance to elongation. The neoprene body provides protection against grime, grease, oil and moisture. The nylon tooth facing provides a durable wear surface for long service life. There are over 230 standard HTD® belt lengths and a variety of widths, in 3mm, 5mm, 8mm, and 14mm pitches.
HTD® belts provide thirty percent increase in horsepower ratings, as compared to traditional timing belts. In small pitch sizes, HTD® timing belts are well-suited for light power applications and those requiring precise positioning, such as data storage, hand power tools, postage and money handling equipment, food processors, office machines, centrifuges, medical diagnostic equipment, sewing machines, ticket dispensers, robotics, vending machines and vacuum cleaners. In larger pitch sizes, HTD® timing belts provide synchronized power transmission for a wide range of machinery used in agriculture, construction, mining, forestry, and in the process and manufacturing industries.
