B&B's COVID-19 Actions

Dear Customers and Business Partners,

Several weeks ago, B&B began taking actions to minimize spreading COVID-19 within our team, thereby making efforts to help protect against disruption of our customers’ supply chains. I believe it is our social responsibility to do all we can to minimize the spread of COVID-19 while balancing remaining open to serve our customers and our team. We intend to stay open as long as the government allows and continuing operations remains socially responsible.

We have taken several internal actions to help in keeping our team virus free. Our Risk Mitigation Team began calling these actions our “Healthy Workplace Protocols” and set the tone to take them very seriously. The overarching intent is simple: take care of our customers, keep our team healthy, and be flexible so our team can earn an income.

Specifically, we have implemented the following:

• Social distancing throughout the workplace
• Disinfecting regularly touched surfaces hourly
• Departmental hand washing 2x in the morning and 2x in the afternoon
• Eliminating non-essential meetings
• Suspending attendance point accrual
• Alternating work schedules for employees
• Eliminating co-worker potlucks
• Working with office doors closed
• Guidelines regarding sending those that are sick to receive medical checkups
• Requiring doctor or nurse practitioner clearance to return to work
• Sending emails and continuous reminders to our team to reinforce the need to:
• Practice social distancing
• Frequently wash hands for 20 seconds
• Sneeze/cough into the elbow

I have provided this list in hope that your organization is enforcing similar standards. These actions are critical in allowing us to continue to operate during this difficult period. None of us know what tomorrow brings, but you can count on B&B’s efforts remaining steadfast to care for our customers and our team.
