timing pulleys

When Josh from the Massachusetts Institue of Technology called B&B Manufacturing, he knew one thing for sure – the timing belt drive on the circulator in the MIT laser spectroscopy lab had a problem.   If the timing belt drive were to fail during laser operation, it could cause a "serious, expensive, and dangerous problem", said Josh.

Working from description, and the picture above, the B&B customer service team quickly determined the pulley shown in the picture wasn’t designed to hold the HTD* belts being used.

B&B sent a 48-3M06M6A8 to Josh from stock for replacement.  Josh reports the new timing pulley solved the problem, and ordered new pulleys to replace the timing belt drives on all MIT’s circulators.  Thanks, Josh!
