Certification of Compliance

REACH Directive

B&B Manufacturing manufactures and sells gears, belts, timing pulleys, and other power transmission components. B&B products that are used in electrical or electrical devices are, by definition, not electronic parts, they are mechanical components. Under normal conditions of use, B&B products do not emit chemicals or other substances.

We have reviewed the REACH directive and associated guidance documents. As a result of the review, we have determined REACH guidelines classify our products as Articles. Article 3 of REACH regulation 1907/2006 defines an article as: “an object which during production is given a special shape, surface, or design which determines its function to a greater degree than its chemical composition”. We neither supply nor manufacture “substances”, and our articles do not involve the “intentional release of substances.” Based on this definition, B&B believes we are not required to register any of our products under REACH.

B&B's products (articles) do not exceed threshold limits established for the February 2026 list of 253 SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern).

B&B issues its part specific auto generated REACH certification free of charge via our website. If additional specific certification is needed, it will be provided for a fee. Parts will only be certified under B&B part numbers. Material certification for previously shipped items is typically not available.

This certification applies to Part Number SFx2-1/2 and is effective from February 4, 2026 through December 31, 2026, or until the list is updated.
